So I tried out the Rustoleum Cabinet Transformation kit in Espresso, and I love it!! It was very time consuming but there was no sanding whatsoever!! You apply the liquid de-glosser, color, glaze & top/finish coat, couldn't ask for anything easier...the hardest part is waiting the alotted dry time, haha!! Take a look for yourself, what do you think? Still undecided about hardwarde, any thoughts?
Unfortunately the lighting wasn't the greatest, ugh!!sorry about the glare. I can't get a straight on shot because there isn't enough room between the cabinets and the wall behind, such is life.

Those look great! I'd go with something very simple and chic for hardware. You don't want to take away from the rich color of the cabinets! Thanks for sharing this with me. :)

What a great way to transform some generic oak!
ReplyDeleteOMG I thought I was looking at my own bathroom pics! I, though, paid and arm and a leg for a cabinet that looks exactly like your refinished one.
ReplyDeleteYour tiles look much like the ones we just put in, too. To top it off, you have what appears to be the exact same green rugs placed in front of the cabinet.
Obviously, I like your bathroom! The only thing I'm missing is an adorable little dog.
Oops, I forgot about the hardware question. We put handles with curves that kinda matched the faucets on the drawers and knobs on the doors. I'm putting a pic up on my blog in a few minutes if you want to see how that looks.
ReplyDeleteLove the Rustoelum product line (we're looking to do the same thing with our kitchen countertops); I can't believe how good the cabinets look!

That looks so great!
ReplyDeleteThis looks great! You give me hope that I could do this. Which color is this? I would like to see a shot with the counter top in the picture.
ReplyDeleteGreat transformation! I'm terrible on deciding hardware, after 4 years still haven't decided what to put on our kitchen cupboards!
ReplyDeletelooking good!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great!!! thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHere's my cabernet rustoleum makeover. I am still working on it.

This looks amazing! I was wondering which color you used? I am looking to redo my kitchen and want to use whatever this is. Thanks.

This is exactly what I'm looking to do--the honey oak to a darker color. Please let us know what color choice you made from the Rust-Oleum line!
ReplyDeleteThanks--and great job!
