Valentine Treats

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Hello.....I'm back...told ya I'd be back.  Anyway to celebrate Valentine's Day I thought I'd write this post in red......maybe throw some pink in the mix...who knows.


So what's your plans for today?  Mine....well my dear friend is watching 2 of my boys so my husband and I can go on a mini date.  We are going to see an early movie today before the other gets out of school.  That's about as romantic as is gets in our house.  I wanted to see The Vow, but instead I caved and we are going to see Safe House.  That's ok, cause it's got some eye candy in it......Ryan Reynolds....need I say more!


Anywho, back to the task at hand....VALENTINE'S DAY! Awwweeee......Musssshhhh...Kisssss Kisss.


My middle son is still in preschool so I thought I'd make him some V-Day treats. YUM!

Was gonna use these bags but then realized the cup wouldn't fit.......think, think....what can I do....I made super cute tags how can I stick them on!

Paper hole punch the cup and add some ribbon and your tag....and voila!

I love it! Don't you! I had one left over and man it was tasty!  Hope all the little preschoolers enjoy!

Fun Valentines Art Project, Posted by Winters Wonderland

My friend over at Winters Wonderland found this in a magazine, stated below.  And I thought what a fun idea to share with all of our viewers too!  Very kid friendly project.......well I wouldn't let my kids use the iron.....but making the shavings and cutting out would be great for them.  Thanks Heather!

Fun Valentines Art Project

Compliments of Martha Stewart. These look fun, I am going to make them with the kids tomorrow. Happy Heart making!



Directions: Begin with a 12-by-16-inch sheet of waxed paper. Fold it in half along its length; unfold. Deposit wax-crayon shavings (made with a handheld pencil sharpener) evenly but not thickly across one half of the paper. Fold the clean half of the paper over the shavings. Crimp the three open edges with a 1/2-inch fold to hold the shavings. Protect your ironing surface with kraft paper. Place the waxed paper on the kraft paper, and cover it with another sheet of kraft paper. Iron lightly on medium heat, checking after every few passes. Stop when all the shavings have melted; let cool. Next, trace and cut out hearts of various sizes. String each heart with a silk thread for hanging.
